 to the Sea runs 50 or 100 miles across some of the best riding country in 
 the Western Cape.</strong></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">The
  100 miler starts at </span><strong style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">Theewa
 ter Sports Club\,</strong><span style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;"> on the ed
 ge of the Theewaterskloof Dam near </span><strong style="color: rgb(0\, 0\
 , 0)\;">Villiersdorp</strong><span style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">\, and 
 runs point to point to the coast. The route climbs the infamous Rusty Gate
  Pass\, where the top opens onto the full sweep of the Overberg\, then rol
 ls on through canola fields and past the wind turbines before finishing at
  Benguela Cove near Hermanus. It is a long day with real climbing and a lo
 t of gravel\, and the kind of finish line that makes the distance worth it
 .</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">The 50 miler is the s
 ame route\, half the distance. Open to riders aged 16 and up\, it starts a
 t Wolwekraal and takes in the second half of the route through to the coas
 t. A serious ride in its own right\, and a good way in for anyone not read
